OUR MISSION
Inspired by Robert Troch’s generosity, Kaiju Kastle supports a diverse community of Kaiju and related-genre model kit enthusiasts, preserves the craft of model making, and welcomes the next generation of builders through programs, mentorship, and collaboration.
OUR VISION
We envision a hobby that keeps growing – where people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels find encouragement and connection.
OUR WORK
At the heart of our work is sharing a passion for model building, exchanging ideas, and making the craft more accessible. Through workshops, experienced builders pass on their skills and help enthusiasts grow their hobby. We produce original kits that encourage hands-on creativity and give new builders a starting point. We also offer kits from Robert’s personal collection for sale, with all proceeds supporting our programming. Donations help offset production costs.
OUR ORIGIN
Robert Troch nicknamed his upstate workshop "Kaiju Kastle" – every man has his castle, he liked to say. He spent decades mentoring fellow builders and championing independent creators, turning conventions into places where hobbyists found camaraderie, not just competition.
After Robert passed in 2024, his wife, daughter, and close friends founded Kaiju Kastle to carry his legacy forward, creating a home for the next generation of Kaiju builders.
