Directors, Assemble!
Eric Hamilton
If Kaiju Kastle were a tower, Eric would be its strong foundation. As co-founder, he brings more than 30 years of experience in development, operations and creative production, and steady leadership to the organization.
For nearly a decade, Eric collaborated with Robert on award-winning dioramas that stretched the imagination, including After the Lightning, Destroy All Modellers, and Mad Monster Party. They pushed each other’s creativity, blending their shared love of horror, kaiju and superhero comics to forge a lasting artistic partnership — one that now lives at the heart of Kaiju Kastle’s mission to honor Robert’s legacy.
Eric’s career spans a wide range of media and educational projects, from an interactive CD-ROM tour of the White House in the 1990s to Webby and CoDIE-award-winning online learning tools for the American Museum of Natural History. He currently serves as Director of Operations for Dwarven Forge, creators of premier hand-sculpted, hand-painted RPG terrain. He is also a published children’s book illustrator, gallery artist, and seasoned art educator.
Eric will continue to channel Robert’s bold and imaginative spirit into Kaiju Kastle, helping anchor the organization with heart, history and vision.
Georgia Troch
Georgia brings a lifetime of immersion in the world of kaiju and genre film to Kaiju Kastle, thanks to her dad, Robert. Growing up, she attended conventions with him, helped with the detailed work of his award-winning dioramas, and developed her own love of horror. She understands firsthand the importance of the model-making hobby to the creative lives of those in the community. Through Kaiju Kastle, she hopes to honor her dad’s generous spirit and outside-the-box imagination by supporting model makers of all backgrounds and skill levels.
Georgia has years of experience in a range of roles in small businesses that have been sustained by devoted communities. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Library and Information Science, and is deeply committed to ensuring access to historic information and materials. Her work is rooted in a strong belief that preserving artifacts, stories and physical creations — like the Diorama of Miracles, her father’s most ambitious build — is an act of care, remembrance and inspiration for future generations.
Chris Oglio
Chris brings organizational expertise and a deep knowledge of the kaiju genre to Kaiju Kastle. With a background in production, he has worked across film, television, live events and promotional media. He’s currently a multimedia producer at Staten Island University Hospital. Additionally, he also serves as CFO of Seismic, LLC, an independent toy company specializing in officially licensed kaiju figures.
A passionate creator and collector, Chris was bound to cross paths with Robert. They swapped collectibles, traded ideas and supported each other’s work. After Robert’s passing, Chris joined the nonprofit founded in his honor, continuing the work they both believed in: building community through their shared passion for kaiju.
Grace Y. Wong
Grace co-founded Kaiju Kastle to honor her husband, Robert — an innovative hobbyist who brought people together through creativity, collaboration and community
Over their 20-year partnership, Grace and Robert instantly bonded over a love of DC Comics, Star Wars, the Chicago Bears and Godzilla (though Grace’s favorite kaiju are Mothra and Gamera). They constantly challenged each other, often quizzing one another to see if they were partner material. (They passed — and the rest is history.) More importantly, they shared a commitment to family, community and giving back.
A longtime journalist, Grace brings extensive experience in communications, program coordination, and philanthropy, including managing The New York Times Neediest Cases Fund, the company’s charitable arm. She is currently enrolled in an intensive fundraising program incubated at Harvard University, designed to deepen expertise in development strategy, public narrative and donor engagement.
Grace is passionate about carrying forward the spirit of generosity that Robert embodied. She knows firsthand how storytelling and access to resources can spark real change. This work is her way of keeping Robert’s legacy alive while building something joyful, inclusive and enduring for the next generation of creators and hobbyists.
Lauren Parmington
Lauren brings a wealth of experience in finance and nonprofit management to Kaiju Kastle, having spent a decade trading fixed income and equities. For nearly 20 years, she played an integral role in the founding and successful leadership of Eagle Island, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to empowering and inspiring girls and young women through Adirondack experiences.
Her commitment to their Brooklyn neighborhood led to a close friendship with Robert. Lauren is now excited to learn more about the wonderful world of modeling and is honored to carry forward Robert’s legacy and the beauty of his work.
